Dr. Mondry completed her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from MGH Institute
of Health Professions, the academic affiliate of Massachusetts
General Hospital and Harvard Medical School. She also possesses a
Masters of Science in Rehabilitation Sciences from Texas
Tech University Health Sciences Center and a Bachelor
of Science in Physical Therapy from the University
of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas. She also obtained a Bachelor
of Science in Psychology from Lamar
University.
Dr. Mondry is a Certified Lymphedema Therapist (CLT)
recognized by the Lymphology
Association of North America (LANA), and the
only Doctor of Physical Therapy who has CLT-LANA board
certification in San Diego County. Dr. Mondry also is a Certified Cancer
Exercise Specialist, completing her training at the Rocky Mountain Cancer Rehabilitation Institute at the University of Northern Colorado.

Dr. Mondry has lectured on lymphedema and exercise for cancer patients at state,
national, and international conferences including the California Physical Therapy
Association, the American Society of Radiation Technologists, and the American
Radium Society. In addition to her presentations, she has been published in
prestigious peer reviewed journals such as the Cancer Journal, the Journal
of Surgical Oncology, Current Perspectives in Cancer, and Journal of
the Society for Integrative Oncology.

Prior to starting her private practice, Dr. Mondry provided lymphedema, cancer
exercise rehabilitation, and general orthopedic services for the Naval Medical
Center San Diego – Breast Health Center. Working in this interdisciplinary,
team environment allowed her to specialize in physical therapy for oncology
patients. In doing so, she was formally recognized for her service by three
Rear Admirals and one Vice Admiral, Medical Corps, United States Navy, as
well as the Surgeon General of the United States Navy during her tenure at
Naval Medical Center San Diego – Breast Health Center. In addition,
she was awarded the Program Volunteer of the Year honor by the Armed
Services YMCA for her service and support of Breast Cancer Survivor's Day and the
military's Breast Cancer Initiative.

Dr. Mondry actively supports community education efforts for Breast Cancer
Awareness and has provided local lectures and served on discussion panels
for community lymphedema support groups. She has also provided insight and
advice regarding Breast Cancer and Lymphedema for Aware
Talk Radio, a nationally
syndicated weekly radio news-magazine regarding personal health and well
being issues.
Dr. Mondry has also participated in the Breast Cancer 3-Day walk benefiting
the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation as both a participant and a member
of the medical staff. She has supported the Komen Foundation's Race for the
Cure, the American Cancer Society's Making Strides Against Breast Cancer
walk and Relay for Life, as well as Cancer Survivorship San Diego! in educating
San Diegans regarding the risk and treatment of lymphedema. She is also an
active member of the National Lymphedema
Network, an internationally recognized
non-profit organization that provides education and guidance regarding the
prevention and management of primary and secondary lymphedema, as well as
a member of the International
Society of Lymphology.
